L'emploi du métaperiodate de potassium comme agent d'oxydation en milieu acide est proposé pour les dosages volumotnques de: lodure de potassium, anhydride arsénieux, anhydride antimonieux, chlorure d'étain(II), cruorure de mercure(I), sulfite de sodium, thiosulfate de sodium, totrathionate de sodium, sulfate de fer(II), thiocyanate de potassium, sulfate d'hydrazme, chlorhydrate de phényihydrazine et hydroquinone (méthode iode-bromure). Le tétrachlorure de carbone est utilisé comme indicateur; il est coloréen rosé pendant la titration et devient incolore au point final. La décoloration est duc à la formation du complexe stable IBr2-, non dissocié, en présence d'un gros excés d'ions bromhydriques. Kaliummetaperjodat wurde als Oxydationsmittel in saurem Médium bei der massanalytischen Bestimmung von KaliumJodid, Arsentrioxyd, Antimontrioxyd, Zinndichlorid, Mercurochlorid, Natriumsulfit, Natriumthiosulfat, Natriumtetra.- thionat, Ferrosulfat, Kaliumthiocyanat, Hydrazinsulfat, Phenylhydrazin-hydrochlorid und Hydrochinon mit der Jodbromidmethode benutzt. Kohlenstofftetra.- chlorid wird als Indikator verwendet. Es ist während der Titration rosa gefärbt und wird am Endpunkt farblos, was der Bildung des stabilen Jodbromidkomplexes JBr2- zu zuschreiben ist, der in Gegenwart eines grossen Überschusses von Brornionen nicht dissoziiert." @default.
