- W1570175373 abstract "The optimized calibration technology is considered as one of the most important issues in modern engine control. In this paper, to reduce the workload of calibration and development costs, the Model-based Calibration (MBC) technology is applied to develop the torque control system of gasoline engines, which consists of the desired map calibration and tracking control. The desired calibration map contains spark advance angle map, air-fuel ratio (AFR) map, torque explanation map. Then, through the tracking controls of spark advance angle, AFR and electronic throttle, the desired torque demand is achieved. In the calibration process, the high fidelity engine model enDYDA is utilized as a virtual engine bench to obtain experimental data. Finally, the offline simulation results and Hardware in Loop (HiL) experiments are presented to validate the effectiveness of the designed torque control system. And they also show that the MBC method is timesaving and reliable. The major contribution of this paper lies in that we successfully apply MBC methodology to the air path control system of gasoline engines." @default.
