- W1570236342 abstract "Abstract Deutonymphs of Tetranychus arabicus Attiah were exposed to gamma radiation from Cobalt 60 source. Irradiation of deutonymphs resulted in reduction of adult emergence. Treated mites were able to transform to the adult stage at 210 K rad. Males were more susceptible to radiation injury than females. Sublethal doses of 8, 16 and 30 K rad, significantly reduced the fecundity and fertility of females. Adults were sterilized at 30 K rad. Length of the life span of adults decreased following doses of 2 and 8 K rad; however exposure to 16 and 30 K rad caused prolongation of the adult life span. The deutonymph was found to be more tolerant to radiation damage than larva and egg. Zusammenfassung Wirkungen von γ‐Strahlen auf die Spinnmilbe Tetranychus arabicus Att. III. @default.
