- W1574396281 abstract "We measured the resistivity, diamagnetization, and low-temperature specific heat of the newly discovered noncentrosymmetric superconductor ${mathrm{Mg}}_{12ensuremath{-}ensuremath{delta}}{mathrm{Ir}}_{19}{mathrm{B}}_{16}$. The temperature dependence of specific heat is consistent with the model of an isotropic $s$-wave gap with value ${ensuremath{Delta}}_{0}ensuremath{approx}0.94phantom{rule{0.3em}{0ex}}mathrm{meV}$ for the sample ${T}_{c}=5.7phantom{rule{0.3em}{0ex}}mathrm{K}$, and the ratio ${ensuremath{Delta}}_{0}∕{k}_{B}{T}_{c}ensuremath{approx}1.91$ indicates a slightly moderate coupling for the superconductivity. The correlations among the normal state Sommerfeld constant ${ensuremath{gamma}}_{n}$, the slope $ensuremath{-}d{ensuremath{mu}}_{0}{H}_{c2}(T)∕dT$ near ${T}_{c}$, and the condensation energy ${E}_{c}$ are all consistent with the slightly moderate coupling picture. Based on the data of phonon contribution, ${T}_{c}$ and the McMillan formula, we obtained an electron-phonon coupling strength ${ensuremath{lambda}}_{etext{ensuremath{-}}mathrm{ph}}ensuremath{approx}0.66$, which suggests that the superconductivity here is induced by the electron-phonon coupling." @default.
