- W1581605588 abstract "The health education to elementary school students is a strategic step to enhance community health behaviors. The activity is one of the fundamental activities in Health Promoting School Programs and that should be conducted by schools and Community Health Centers (Puskesmas). The health education provided by schools is based on curriculum. It is different from the health education provided by the Community Health Centers (Puskesmas). There are not any fixed health topics which should be given to students. The Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) are more flexible to determine the health topics to be given to students at schools in their work areas in accordance to the local conditions and situations. To avoid overlapping on the health topics given by the Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) and the elementary schools, there should be a coordination between both institutions. Hence it should be concerned by the Community Health Centers(Puskesmas) to provide the health education in elementary schools is determining the health topics that have been taught by schools, the health problems that often occured in the areas, the chances of the Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) to provide the health education to students and techniques for presentation on the health education.
