- W1594852342 abstract "Work life of employees is just as important as their personal life because the satisfaction and contentment of employees in both spheres of life domains is essential to maintain a balanced life. The study examines the factors that contribute to the quality of work life (QWL) of sport facilitators in public schools and the relationship with job satisfaction. A snowball sample of 201 sport facilitators was surveyed within the Southern Gauteng public schools. The correlation analysis between the QWL dimensions and job satisfaction showed strong association with job satisfaction. The regression analysis indicated that four of the seven QWL dimensions (fair compensations, growth and security, life spaces at work and social relevance) showed strong predictive relationships with job satisfaction among sport facilitators. Overall the mean scores of the QWL sub-dimensions indicate that sport facilitators are dissatisfied in terms of what they need within the workplace in order to enhance their job satisfaction. The study therefore signals serious concerns of sport facilitators and their low levels of job satisfaction which educational authorities need to take cognisance of in order to improve their lot in public schools." @default.
