- W1597754562 abstract "Reconfiguration of architectures is an attractive alternate to redesign when a system's operating environment changes. Our work focuses on contribution to the formal description of reconfiguration, which deals with changing as little as possible from the original configuration, keeping the attributes associated with them unchanged. Reconfiguration amounts to adding and removing components and connections. Our goal is to be able to formally specify architecture in a simple, flexible, explicit, and adequate way with minimum disruption caused by reconfiguration. Our research has resulted in an automated system model to reconfigure HUMS (health usage and monitoring system). The automated design process involves selection of solutions from a large design space (knowledge domain) and application of this solution to synthesize designs or parts of designs that form the entire system. The automation system attempts to capitalize on the domain-specific knowledge developed from years of experience in engineering, system design and operation of the HUMS systems in order to handle system reconfigurations." @default.
