- W1602691926 abstract "TIn this paper, the main objective is the introduction of the new socioeconomic concept of social capital in the intention-based model of new fi rm creation. Starting from Ajzens theory of planned be- haviour, the specifi c infl uence of social capital both on the formation of intentions and, therefore, on the entrepreneurial potential will be studied. To achieve this objective, an empirical study will be carried out using the Partial Least Square (PLS) technique with data from a sample of young undergraduate students in the last year of their degree. This population has been selected because these individuals, according to different studies, show a higher propensity towards fi rm creation. Entrepreneurs are assigned nowadays a central role by the scientifi c community in the growth and development of the different regions of the world economy. Thus, results obtained in this paper could be very useful for the design and implementation of different measures to promote the entrepreneurial potential of individuals and, therefore, the emergence of new and more effi cient fi rms." @default.
