- W1604653384 abstract "Abstract Impedance data of the Bi(Hg)/Bi(III)+ClO 4 +Cl − system have been evaluated with the SSSS method using various models (effective two-step reaction and induced adsorption). In the case of constant excess of chloride, the best simulation has been achieved with Langmuir kinetics. It has been possible to determine the complete set of characteristic parameters. The stoichiometric coefficients of the reaction scheme for induced adsorption have been obtained by simulating impedance spectra with variable chloride concentration. The macroscopic partial charge transfer is l 1 = 1.05–1.15 depending on the chloride concentration. Adsorption densities and adsorption parameters as well as rate constants and symmetry factors have been estimated. The reaction of the oxidized form starts with the adsorption of a bismuth-chloro complex at chloride-free sites of the mercury surface." @default.
