- W1611388613 abstract "Se realizo un estudio etnobotanico de las plantas utilizadas para afecciones del aparato digestivo en el austro del Ecuador, para contribuir al conocimiento de la flora util de la region y optimizar el empleo de las drogas vegetales. Se aplicaron entrevistas semi-estructuradas a 40 informantes claves de 17 diferentes comunidades, se colectaron las plantas empleadas con las respectivas fichas etnobotanicas. Fueron colectadas 125 drogas y muestras botanicas de 43 familias 92 generos y 117 especies. De estas, hay 80 muestras de plantas nativas, 39 introducidas y 3 endemicas. Segun el habito, 83 son hierbas, 36 arbustos, 3 trepadoras y 2 arboles. Se registraron 19 diferente sintomas relacionados con afecciones del aparato digestivo. Las partes vegetales mas empleadas son las hojas, seguidas por tallo y flores, en menor medida raiz, brotes jovenes, frutos y semillas. El estudio indica que la poblacion, tanto indigena como mestiza, utiliza un numero considerable de plantas medicinales para las afecciones gastrointestinales. La incidencia de estas afecciones es muy elevada, por esto, las plantas se colectan o se cultivan de preferencia cerca de las casas, y se utilizan mezcladas, en diferentes formas de preparacion. La mayor parte de las plantas empleadas son hierbas cultivadas o toleradas en los cultivos, hecho que confirma su empleo frecuente y muy comun. Abstract Ethnobotanical study was conducted on plants used for gastro intestinal disorders in the South of Ecuador, to contribute to knowledge of useful flora of the region and optimize the use of plant drugs. Semi-structured interviews were applied to 40 key informants from 17 different communities; the used plants were collected with the respective ethnobotanical tabs. 125 drugs and botanical samples were collected of 43 families 92 genera and 117 species. Of these, 80 samples of native, 39 introduced and three endemic. According to the habit, 83 are herbs, 36 shrubs, three vines and two trees. There have been 19 different symptoms associated with disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. The most frequently used plant parts are leaves, stems and flowers followed by a lesser extent roots, young shoots, fruits and seeds. The study indicates that the population, both indigenous and mestizo, uses a considerable number of medicinal plants for gastrointestinal diseases. The incidence of these diseases is very high, so the plants are collected or cultivated mostly near houses, and are used mixed, in various forms of preparation. Most of them are herbaceous plants, cultivated or crop tolerated; this confirms their frequent and common use." @default.
