- W1611400381 abstract "In this paper, we systematically calculate the distribution of the current density in three superactive regions (isolated large spots) NOAA 5395, 6659, 6891. The transverse current is for the first time included by using a simple algorithm. The main purpose is to analyse the spatial correlation between flare kernels and the current. The correlation between the current and the flare kernels is classified into two categories: intimately-correlation and quasi-correlation. We analyse three superactive regions and give a statistical result. For these active regions a statistical result is given showing that:1) The intimately-correlation rate is about 29% and 10% for logitudinal and transverse current while the quasi-correlation rate is about 50% and 30% respectively.2) Some flare kernles are correlating with both currents while most of them are correlating with one of them.3) The numbers of flare kernels which fail to correlate with both current is only about 6% on average.4) The areas of both current peaks are compensated for one another which are very useful in the prediction of solar flare sites. Through analysis, it is shown that J peak regions are contained in high magnetic shearing areas while J peak regions belong to mixed polarity areas or are near the magnetic inversion line." @default.
