- W1620570147 abstract "Differential cross-section and polarisation measurements for 30 and 50 MeV protons elastically scattered from the isotopes 63Cu and 65Cu have been analysed in terms of the standard optical model and the reformulated optical model. Good fits are obtained at both energies with both models but the simple optical model is superior at 50 MeV. Values of the mean-square radius of the two-body force <r2>d obtained from these analyses depend strongly on which part of the data is fitted and it is concluded that information on matter radii may be extracted provided a value of <r2>d obtained by other means is used. Differences in optical model parameters between the pair of isotopes have been calculated using difference function analysis and this technique is compared with the conventional method. The former method reduces the errors in the differences by up to a factor of three. Differences in the parameters are compared with those obtained from the analysis of other data from pairs of isotopes in this energy region." @default.
