- W1621515053 abstract "The hypothesis of possible existence of supercivilizations (SC’s) is considered in the light of modern ideas about the progressive evolution of matter in the Universe. The existence of SC’s presupposes the fulfilment of at least 2 conditions: 1) Reason is a sufficiently probable “solution” in the course of progressive evolution of matter in the Universe; 2) the main property of Reason - aspiration for maximum information about the Universe - isn’t lost at the subsequent, “post-reason”, stages of progressive evolution. If the seconde condition is fulfilled, civilizations tend to become SC’s and can, in principle, last an indefinitly long (cosmological) time. Some cosmological limitations for the space location of SC’s are analysed, in particular, the possibility of local gravitational collapse of our part of the Universe, impelling civilizations to escape from this region. This can serve as a possible explanation of the Fermi paradox." @default.
