- W1624846872 abstract "This chapter analyzes several techniques that apply when only a single interferogram image is available for measuring a physical quantity through an interferometric experiment. The Fourier technique, as its name implies, uses the Fourier transform to demodulate the interferometric data. This technique works by manipulating the interferometric data as a whole and is probably the most widely used technique in the chapter. On the other hand, the spatial phase shifting technique uses a small quadrature convolution filter to obtain the demodulated phase from the interferogram. One of the main characteristics of the regularized phase tracker (RPT) method is that the RPT obtains the phase already unwrapped. When using the local adaptable robust quadrature filters (LARQF), it is a necessary phase unwrapping technique after demodulation. The chapter presents a global overview of the applications of the fringe orientation in interferogram processing. Controlled Vocabulary Terms demodulation; Fourier transform optics; phase shifting interferometry" @default.
