- W1627955480 abstract "AbstractThis article presents an overview of recent theoretical progress made in Shanghai on collective excitations in superfluid Fermi gases in the BCS-BEC crossover. All linear eigenvalues and eigenfunctions for systems of three-dimensional (3D) trapping potentials with spherical and axial symmetries are provided analytically and compared with experiments. Corresponding results beyond mean-field and Thomas-Fermi approximations are also given explicitly. Furthermore, linear excitations and sound propagation in a cigar-shaped 3D superfluid Fermi gas is described and eigenvalue problems of linear collective excitations for quasi 1D and quasi 2D systems are solved exactly.
