- W1646817023 abstract "The commonly held opinion is that “A satisfied worker is a productiveworker”.The purpose of the survey study was to examine the effects of job satisfaction on the work performanceof lecturers in the Higher Teachers’ Training College, Bambili-Cameroon. Four research questions and three hypotheses guided the study. A 32- item questionnaire was administered to 45 lecturers who were systematically selected with the use of simple random sampling and purposive sampling techniques. Descriptive (percentages and frequencies) and inferential (one sample t-test, 2-tailed) analysis of data with the aid of SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) version 20-32bit revealed that all the indicators of job satisfaction (remunerations, staff welfare and the work itself) significantly affect the work performance of lecturers. With regards to these findings,some existential recommendations were made to the government, University authorities and lecturers which will go a long way to improve their performance, towards attaining Vision 2035 of Cameroon being an emergent economy.
