- W1671278151 abstract "The broad mission of TriNet is to mitigate the impact of future large earthquakes in southern California. To accomplish this mission, a wide spectrum of activities is required, including data collection and processing, information distribution, and seismological and earthquake engineering research and data analysis. The organization of the TriNet project is structured to give equal representation to the TriNet members and to facilitate accomplishment of the objectives of the project. To accomplish its mission, TriNet is applying new technologies enabling a much greater dynamic range of sensors and bandwidth of digital communication links to provide accurate and vital information within minutes of the occurrence of a large earthquake. TriNet products consist of raw data, processed data, and parametric information derived from the data. The data and the derived parametric information that are made available to users become available in different time frames. As part of the TriNet effort, the Data Utilization project of California Division of Mines and Geology (CDMG) was expanded to accelerate the process of improving seismic design codes and provisions based on the analysis of recorded strong-motion data." @default.
