- W1677232990 abstract "Car passengers safety has become a large field of study and improvement with the help of mechatronic subsystems during the last decades. Among these systems, ABS enables one to brake the wheels without locking, thus optimizing the stopping distance. However, the actions of an ABS cannot be proven to be beneficial under all road conditions. To this end, a hybrid control architecture is proposed to enhance ABS performance. It is composed of both feedforward and feedback controllers that compensate for the uncertainty of tire-road coefficient of friction, and a finite state machine is used for ABS activation. Simulation results draw the benefits of such an architecture." @default.
