In fact, complexity theory has become a subject appreciated in the field of organization science[1]. In particular, according to Anderson (1999), complexity has become a central construct in the vocabulary of organization scientists, and looking back it does not seem to have been just a fad (McKelvey, 1999). Computational techniques, including simulation, have played an important role in the study of complex systems. More recently simulation has been used to analyze leadership as well (see review in Hazy, 2005). Dal Forno and Merlone (2005) have investigated the effect of behavioral components when selecting co-workers in teams with no supervisor. Their results suggest that, in order to foster larger group formation, the presence of individuals acting as aggregators of knowledge is necessary.
