Empleamos como herramientas estadísticas la prueba de la “t” de Student, la prueba de ?2, prueba de Kruskall- Wallis, coeficiente de correlación y prueba de regresión múltiple con un intervalo de confianza del 95%. Los pacientes con hipertensión arterial y cardiopatía isquémica, en los que la coronariografía evidencia la presencia de lesión endotelial, presentan unos niveles más elevados tanto de D-dímeros como de factor de von Willebrand que las personas sanas. Tanto el factor de von Willebrand como los D-dímeros podrían ser considerados como indicadores de existencia de lesión endotelial en pacientes con hipertensión arterial, cardiopatía isquémica sintomática y lesión endotelial. Hypertension is a cardiovascular risk factor which favors the onset of endothelial injury, which can be determined by some endothelium-derived factors. Observational study carried out among patients in two groups. The first consisted of 25 patients diagnosed as having coronary heart disease and endothelial injury as confirmed by coronariography, and whose only cardiovascular risk factor was hypertension. The second was a control group of 15 healthy patients without any cardiovascular risk factors. We compared von Willebrand factor antigen activity and D-dimer levels, both as markers for endothelial injury, between the groups. The following statistical tools were used: Student “t” test, Chi-square test, Kruskall-Wallis test, correlation coefficient, and multiple regression test (confidence interval 95 %). In those patients with hypertension and coronary heart disease in whom coronariography showed the presence of endothelial injury, there were demonstrated higher levels of both D-dimers and von Willebrand factor than in healthy patients. Levels of both von Willebrand factor and D-dimer could be considered markers of endothelial injury in patients with hypertension, symptomatic coronary heart disease and endothelial injury." @default.
