- W182015606 abstract "ABSTRACT ：Semi flexible polyesters containing aromatic rings and pentamethylene groups in the main chain were synthe-sized by direct polycondensation reaction. The structures of these polymers were investigated by 1 H-NMR and FT-IR and the phase transition behavior was characterized with DSC, TGA and crossed polarizing microscope. Inherent viscosities(η inh ) of polymers measured in phenol/ p -chlorophenol/1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane were between 0.46 and 1.30 dL/g. As increasingthe linearlity of rigid moieties in polyster, melting transition temperatures (T m ) increased and solubilities in organic solvents decreased. P-H, P-mH and P-4H of the polymers formed turbid melts that showed stir-opalescence and nematic phase atthe broad anisotropic region, However, P-R, P-C and P-2B did not exhibit any textures related to the liquid crystallinity. Keywords ： liquid crystal, polyester, mesogen, methylene spacer, direct polycondensation † 대표저자 E-mail: msbang@kongju.ac.kr Ⅰ. 서 론 현재 공업적으로 이용되고 있는 엔지니어링 플라스틱재료들 중 액정고분자는 사슬의 견고함과 흐름상태에서 배열의 용이함으로 인하여 우수한 열적, 기계적 성질을 나타내고 있다. 엔지니어링 플라스틱 재료로서 많은 주목을 받으며 많은 연구진들의 연구의 대상이 되어 왔다. 메소겐을 주사슬에 갖는 액정고분자는 전방향족 액정고분자와 메소겐과 유연격자를 반복적으로 포함하고 있는 반유연성 액정고분자로 표현할 수 있는데, 전방향족액정고분자는 주사슬의 견고함으로 인하여 기계적인 물성은 우수하나 열이나 용매에 잘 용융 또는 용해되지 않는 특성을 가지고 있기 때문에 중합체의 액정성을 연구하는데 어려운 부분이 있다." @default.
