- W1838204342 abstract "Abstract A variety of innovative measurement technologies have been used by industrial hygienists to evaluate human exposures to contaminants, monitor process emissions and leaks, and determine the effectiveness of ventilation systems. Temporal resolution has been reported important for understanding and effectively controlling the generation and transport of contaminants in air, for identifying chemical intermediates produced during a process, and for monitoring chemicals that are acutely toxic. Real‐time instruments are used to provide good temporal resolution of concentration fluctuations. The technique also combines the real‐time chemical detection methods of optical remote sensing. The environmental CT system generates near real‐time spatially and temporally resolved two‐dimensional concentration maps of multiple chemicals at low limits of detection. Besides this, refinement of ORS instrumentation and low cost retroreflector arrays has also been discussed." @default.
