- W183827588 abstract "Rhodium has been introduced by ion exchange onto NaY, NH4Y, Na-Ω, NH4-Ω, NH4-mordenite, H-erionite and H-offretite. Good dispersions of rhodium are measured by H adsorption and election microscopy. The activities for benzene and 1-hexene hydrogenations have been determined. Rhodium supported by NaY and NH4Y has the same intrinsic activity as Rh/Al2O3. The introduction of 4% Rh into mordenite yields a catalyst which exhibits good dispersions by hydrogen chemisorption is active for the hydrogenation of alkenes but not for the hydrogenation of benzene. It is proposed that rhodium is located at sites which are not accessible for benzene. Therefore a direct coordination of the benzene molecule to the metal is necessary for the reaction and spilled over hydrogen cannot react with the benzene molecules adsorbed on the zeolite. Des catalyseurs au rhodium ont été préparés par échange d'ions en utilisant une série de zéolithes comme support. Les systèmes étudiés incluent les zéolithes suivantes : NaY, NH4Y, Na-Ω, NH4-Ω, NH4-mordenite, H-erionite et H-offretite. Les dispersions du rhodium sont bonnes d'après la chimisorption d'hydrogène et la microscopie électronique. Rh/NaY et Rh/NH4Y ont la même activité intrinsèque que Rh/Al2O3. Par introduction de 4% Rh dans la mordenite on obtient un catalyseur pour lequel l'adsorption d'hydrogène indique une surface métallique importante, qui hydrogène les alcènes mais très peu le benzène. Il semble donc que le métal soit situé dans des sites inaccessibles au benzène. En conséquence, la coordination directe du benzène sur le métal est nécessaire pour que l'hydrogénation se produise. L'hydrogène épandu sur la zéolithe ne réagit pas sur le benzène adsorbé sur les sites de la zéolithe." @default.
