We examined theeffect of a REBT group counseling program derived from choice theory and control theory ofreality therapy theory for group counseling on the Internet addiction among university students.Participants in the treatment group attended the REBT group counseling program that was held onesession per week for 10 consecutive weeks, whereas the participants in the control group receivedno treatment. The findings indicated that the treatment program effectively reduced Internetaddiction among university students. At the same time, the results revealed the significant effects ofthe REBT group counseling program on the dependent variables." @default.
