- W185619507 abstract "This study argues the need for the managers and head of department inthe public sector to know the relationship between facets of job satisfactionand the organizational commitment among their employees. By knowingthis relationship, hopefully the managers and head of department in thepublic sector can improve their human resource management by motivatingthe employees to be more efficient, productive, transparent andaccountable in carrying out its responsibilities with excellence. This studyinvestigate the relationship between overall Job Satisfaction, Satisfaction ofPay, Promotion, Supervision, Nature of Work and Coworkers as theindependent variables; Organizational Commitment as dependent variable;and Age, Gender, Education level and Length of Service as the moderatingvariables. In this study, data were collected from a sample of 115executives in Kota Kinabalu. The finding showed the overall JobSatisfaction has direct positive relationship with OrganizationalCommitment of the executive in the public sector; The satisfaction of Pay,Promotion, Supervision, Nature of work and Coworkers also have directpositive relationship with Organizational Commitment; The finding alsoshowed that all the relationships between Pay, Promotion, Supervision,Nature of work and Co-workers with Organizational Commitment was notmoderated by age, gender, education level and length of service; exceptthe relationship between Pay and Organizational commitment wasmoderated by the education level." @default.
