- W186286135 abstract "This chapter discusses fuzzy thought amplifier ™ for complex situations. Each of the complex anddynamic situations consists of a group of variable concepts that affect each other. To remain functionally dynamic, the system requires a balance of their interactions. If one of the concepts is greatly changed or removed entirely, the entire system may grind to a halt, flail around endlessly, or become extremely chaotic and useless. To model this form of fuzzy situation, Dr. Bart Kosko invented cognitive maps. Each of the complex scenarios can be represented on paper or in a computer as a special type of graph called a fuzzy cognitive map. In human events, the fuzzy cognitive map naturally represents a human way of thinking. Because the fuzzy cognitive map organizes dynamic information in such a humanlike way, it is called the Fuzzy Thought Amplifier™. With the Fuzzy Thought Amplifier™, fuzzy cognitive map can be constructed from a scenario, can be customized for graphic purposes and a history of its dynamic behavior can be created. The Fuzzy Thought Amplifier™ runs in two basic modes, normal and trained." @default.
