• W1870027150 abstract "Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbandingan penerapan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori dan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap pemahaman siswa kelas VIII pada pokok bahasan pemantulan cahaya. Pada penelitian ini, kedua strategi pembelajaran tersebut digunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir siswa sehingga pemahaman siswa dapat meningkat dan siswa dapat berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 12 Surabaya dengan sampel dua kelas yang berjumlah 60 siswa dan siswa kelas VIII SMPN 22 Surabaya dengan sampel dua kelas yang berjumlah 60 siswa Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experiment design. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan penerapan kedua strategi dalam pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa semua aspek sudah terlaksana sesuai dengan prosedur. Berdasarkan analisis aspek kognitif siswa di SMPN 12 Surabaya menggunakan uji-t dan analisis gain score diperoleh bahwa hasil belajar siswa di kelas inkuiri lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa di kelas ekspositori. Hasil yang sama juga berulang di SMPN 22 Surabaya. Selain aspek kognitif, dianalisis pula aspek psikomotor dan afektif, dimana hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa di kedua sekolah pun pembelajaran inkuiri lebih cocok diterapkan daripada pembelajaran ekspositori. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri lebih cocok diterapkan untuk materi pemantulan cahaya dengan kompetensi dasar menyelidiki sifat-sifat cahaya dan hubungannya dengan berbagai bentuk cermin dan lensa. Adapun respon siswa terhadap kedua strategi pembelajaran tersebut dikategorikan sangat kuat. Respon tersebut menunjukkan bahwa siswa dapat menerima penerapan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri dan ekspositori dengan baik. Abstract This study aims to describe the comparison expository and inquiry learning strategies in application to eighth grade students' understanding on the subject of light reflection. In this study, two learning strategies are used to train thinking skills so that students can increase students' understanding and students can contribute in learning. The populations were all of eighth grade students of SMPN 12 Surabaya with samples were two classes totaling 60 students and eighth grade students of SMPN 22 Surabaya with samples of two classes totaling 60 students Surabaya and design of the study is a pre-experiment design. Based on observations in the implementation of both strategies show that all aspects of learning is done in accordance with procedures. Based on the analysis of the cognitive aspects of students of SMPN 12 Surabaya using t-test and analysis of gain scores obtained that the learning outcomes of students in inquiry class was better than the learning outcomes of students in expository class. Similar results were also repeated in SMPN 22 Surabaya. In addition to the cognitive, was analyzed psychomotor and affective aspects, where the results of the analysis showed that in both schools was more appropriate inquiry learning than expository learning. This suggests that inquiry learning is more suitable to be applied to materials with a light reflection of basic competence to investigate the properties of light and its relationship with various forms of mirrors and lenses. The students' response to these two learning strategies are considered very strong. The response indicates that the students can receive the application inquiry learning strategy and expository learning strategy well.
