- W1888356631 abstract "Domestic violence transgresses societies, cultures, and generations and participates at social violence, being not only a matter of public health but a matter of violating human rights as well. Researches about violence against women impose important aspects of ethics and methodology which add to the problems brought to light by all the research types in general. The nature of the subject itself makes the questions concerning security and confidentiality, as well as those regarding competence and continuous training of researchers to present an additional importance. Every time a sensible subject is brought up, the questioned persons tend to hide this part of reality; therefore the declared acts of violence are inferior to reality. These results raise questions about moral and practical issue. OMS has stated the recommendations regarding the ethical rules necessary to be obeyed within the researches concerning the acts of domestic violence. It is likely for the family violence against women to be studied and at the same time fully respect the concern to preserve the ethics and security. When they are questioned in a proper environment, many women don't hesitate to talk about the endured violence. The study must be presented as a study about health, living conditions or conjugal life of women in order to assure the security and to permit the questioned person to talk about the study without being faced with various risks. The researchers can contribute to the security of the questioned persons by obeying the ethical and methodological principles, which must be more important than the initial goals of the studies." @default.
