Der ironische Gehalt dieser rhetorischen Figur liegt in der Uberschatzung des Begriffs der Nachhaltigkeit wie in der Unterschatzung dessen, was als Umdeutung von Natur und Festschreibung gesellschaftlicherHerrschaft in den letzten 40 Jahren die Gestalt eines Dispositivs angenommen hat. Der alternative Vorschlag einer Stutzung der Analyse auf die Arbeiten von Michel Foucault offnet den Blick fur ein heterogenes Ensemble der Konstruktion von Problematiken, Wissensformen und Techniken, das den Rahmen des Sagbaren zum Verhaltnis von Natur und Gesellschaft festlegt. Nicht die Popularisierungund Eindeutigkeit eines Begriffs von Nachhaltigkeit erscheint dann als Ziel verschiedenster Akteure, diesich des Nachhaltigkeitsbegriffs bedienen, sondern die Konstruktion eines Netzes von Bedeutungen, indem wir alle uns notwendig bewegen mussen, um innerhalb gesellschaftlicher Diskurse uberhaupt wahrgenommen zu werden. Foucault klassifiziert die Macht- und Herrschaftsaspekte nicht als Verzerrungen kommunikativer Prozesse, sondern als produktive Verbindung von Wissensformen und Macht bzw. Herrschaft. Der Ansatz Foucault’s versucht, Prozesse der Subjektivierung als Prozesse der Konstruktion von Selbstbeschreibungen (Wahrheiten) auf der Grundlage von Macht- undWissensordnungen zu erfassen. Die Wirkungen des Dispositivs der Zukunftsfahigkeit sind nachweisbar inwissenschaftlich-politischen Akteurskonstellationen, hingegen erscheint eine Kombination von Dispositivund Governance/Gouvernementalitat angemessen, um Veranderungen des Alltags zu analysieren. Diese Veranderungen in alltaglichen Praktiken und Denkweisen sind die Zielscheibe der Wahrheitskonstruktionen des Dispositivs der nachhaltigen Entwicklung.
