• W1940107867 abstract "An experimental study was carried-out to investigate the effect of magnitude and direction of the air flow rate on characteristics of the corona discharge generated in a wire-duct reactor. The study is aimed to understand the mechanism played by magnitude and direction of the air flow rate on efficiency of ESPs that have been widely used in industry and home appliances. Two directions of the air flow were attempted; one parallel to and the other normal to the discharge wire in the reactor. The corona current-voltage characteristics correlative with the ozone generation were studied under DC and AC voltages. The results showed that the current-voltage characteristics depend significantly on magnitude of the air flow rate whatever polarity of the corona discharge or direction of the air flow. The ozone concentration generated with the parallel flow is higher than that generated with the normal flow at the same discharge conditions." @default.
