- W1952904947 abstract "The purpose of this study is for finding the scale development and validation of in Korea. To achieve this goals, 2 types of researches were performed in this study. The research 1 and 2 were performed with total 1,431 people who are Protestants(n = 469), Rome Catholics(n = 325), Buddhist(n = 242), and non religious people(n = 395). In research 1, 6 factors of religiosity scale were extracted through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. subordinate factors were religiosity, goal setting, humility, families, economic accomplishments, social relationship. And research 2 for external validity, correlation analysis was performed between newly developed scales of religiosity scale and existing scales of religious orientations(Allport & Rosss scales, Batson & Ventiss scales). Newly developed scales show high validity with existing scales of religious orientations. Protestants were positive correlation between newly developed scales and existing scales of religious orientations. Also Rome Catholics were positive correlation them. But some of Buddhist, Some they were not positive correlation. Finding results show religion and culture-specific way. Overall, these results show religiosity are not only for religion, but also psychological, social, cultural, and historical variables in life." @default.
