- W1964804934 abstract "Abstract MoS 2 nanoparticles were formed on the graphitic surface by annealing of a mixture of amorphous MoS 3 and reduced graphite oxide at 1000 °C in high‐vacuum conditions. High‐resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) revealed that the nanoparticles are ranged from 5 to 12 nm. The large variation in nanoparticle size resulted in optical absorbance of the composite within a 1.5–6.0 eV interval. From analysis of Raman and near‐edge X‐ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy data, development of covalent bonding between MoS 2 nanoparticles and graphitic surface was proposed.
