- W1965510902 abstract "Uricase molecules (UOx) were immobilized to a self-assembled monolayer of 2-aminoethanethiolate prepared on an Au electrode substrate by casting phosphate buffer solution containing UOx and glutaraldehyde as a cross-linking agent, followed by drying. The prepared electrode (UOx/Au) exhibited amperometric responses to uric acid with use of [Fe(CN)6]3− dissolved in solution as an electron mediator at rates much higher than those obtained with use of dissolved UOx. The sensitivity of the UOx/Au electrode was influenced by not only the amount of glutaraldehyde in the casting solution but also the drying time and the temperature after casting the solution. The electrodes prepared under the best preparation conditions showed amperometric responses to uric acid up to 0.6 mmol dm−3, which covers the normal concentration of uric acid in the human blood." @default.
