- W1966100436 abstract "Abstract The problems of planar (one-dimensional) and axial (two-dimensional) channeling of neutrons inside perfect nonmagnetic crystals were considered for two components of neutron wave function using a system of two bound operator equations that describe orientational motion of a particle with velocity v and a spin moment in the effective magnetic field. This field appears in the coordinate system that accompanies moving neutron under relativity transformation of crystal plane or axis electric field averaged in longitudinal coordinate and on thermal atomic oscillation. For the case of planar channeling the structure of the guiding potential has the form of two systems of periodical holes for two-spin orientations in inter-plane spaces. For the fast neutrons case there are several levels of neutron channeling in these holes. For the first time the energy levels and wave functions of channeling neutrons inside the effective magnetic field of crystal axes and in the inter-axial volume between the system of crystal axes were calculated. The structure of electric potential of crystal axis that leads to neutron localization near the axis was obtained. The results of experimental investigation of reactor fast neutron channeling in perfect crystals are also discussed." @default.
