Mossbauer effect experiments have been performed on the ferromagnetic Heusler alloys Pd2MnIn1-xSnx (0.7<or=x<or=1.0), Pd2MnIn1-xSnx (0.41<or=y<or=1.0) and Pd2MnSn1-zSbz) (0<or=z<or=1.0) using the 119Sn and 121Sb resonances. The isomer shift data measured at room temperature, where the alloys were paramagnetic, were used to deduce the variation of the charge density at the 119Sn and 121Sb sites. The composition dependence of the spin density was deduced from hyperfine field measurements at 4.2K, at which temperature saturated ferromagnetic behaviour was observed for all alloys. For both isotopes the trends of the isomer shift and hyperfine field are similar across the series. The most likely causes of these trends are changes in local charge screening by the conduction band at the Sn and Sb sites." @default.
