- W1967162094 abstract "The study of the recombination of H3+ and D3+ ions with electrons, with detailed description of the method and new experimental instrument—the advanced integrated stationary afterglow (AISA), is reported. In the stationary afterglow in HeArH2 and HeArD2 mixtures was observed that the recombination of H3+ and D3+ ions are three-body processes with the rate coefficients dependent on the partial density of [H2] and [D2], respectively. These results obtained at [H2] and [D2] below 1×1011 cm−3 indicate that the binary dissociative recombination reactions of H3+ and D3+ ions with electrons are, at thermal energies, very slow processes with rate coefficients smaller than 3×10−9 cm3 s−1 and 6×10−9 cm3 s−1, respectively." @default.
