However, several less common but serious side effects have been reported, including mental confusion, gynecomastia, neutropenia, hepatitis, and cardiac arrhythmias. We report the case of a patient who had two episodes of bradycardia possibly related to ranitidine treatment.A hypertensive, diabetic 73-year-old man with mild renal insufficiency was transferred to our hospital 2 days after emergency surgery for a colonic perforation and subsequent Klebsiella peritonitis, renal failure, and confusion.
