- W1969490624 abstract "We study the decays ${B}_{c}ensuremath{rightarrow}{D}^{*}ensuremath{gamma}$ and ${B}_{c}ensuremath{rightarrow}{D}_{s}^{*}ensuremath{gamma}$ in the relativistic independent quark model based on the confining potential in the scalar-vector harmonic form. Out of the two competing mechanisms contributing to these decays, we find that the weak annihilation contribution dominates the electromagnetic penguin one. Considering contributions from both mechanisms, total decay widths and branching ratios are predicted as $ensuremath{Gamma}{(B}_{c}ensuremath{rightarrow}{D}^{*}ensuremath{gamma})=5.22ifmmodetimeselsetexttimesfi{}{10}^{ensuremath{-}18}$ GeV, $ensuremath{Gamma}{(B}_{c}ensuremath{rightarrow}{D}_{s}^{*}ensuremath{gamma})=1.98ifmmodetimeselsetexttimesfi{}{10}^{ensuremath{-}16}$ GeV and ${Br(B}_{c}ensuremath{rightarrow}{D}^{*}ensuremath{gamma})ensuremath{simeq}3.64ifmmodetimeselsetexttimesfi{}{10}^{ensuremath{-}6},$ ${Br(B}_{c}ensuremath{rightarrow}{D}_{s}^{*}ensuremath{gamma})ensuremath{simeq}1.39ifmmodetimeselsetexttimesfi{}{10}^{ensuremath{-}4}$ with ${ensuremath{tau}}_{{B}_{c}}=0.46$ ps. The decays ${B}_{c}ensuremath{rightarrow}{D}_{s}^{*}ensuremath{gamma}$ can well be studied at CERN LHC in the near future." @default.
