- W1969664674 abstract "AgBr tabular grains in an aqueous gelatin are digested with a small amount of Na2S2O3 · 5 H2O and HAuCl4 · 4 H2O. The reaction between AgBr grains and these materials results in the formation of needle-shaped AuAg3S2 specks on the grains. These specks take the parallel orientation with AgBr 〈211〉 direction. Developed silver grows from the AuAg3S2 specks by development after exposing the silver halides. The relative orientation of the AuAg3S2 crystal lattice to those of silver precipitates is studied by high resolution electron microscopy (simultaneous observation of the lattice images of AuAg3S2 and Ag). The silver grains precipitate at the silver-gold-sulfide specks with a parallel orientation or at 60° rotation around its 〈110〉 axis. It is found that the lattice misfits between the silver and the silver-gold-sulfide were so small at these orientations that the silver can easily precipitate. Tafelförmige AgBr-Körner in wässriger Gelantine werden durch kleine Mengen von Na2S2O3 · 5 H2O und HAuCl4 · 4 H2O aufgebraucht. Die Reaktion zwischen AgBr-Körnern und diesen Materialien führt zu der Bildung von nadelförmigen AuAg3S2-Partikeln auf den Körnern. Diese Partikel sind parallel zur AgBr-〈211〉-Richtung. Nach Entwicklung der Silberhalogenide wächst Silber aus den AuAg3S2-Partikeln. Die relative Orientierung des AuAg3S2-Kristallgitters zu denen der Silber-Präzipitate wird mit Hilfe der hochauflösenden Elektronenmikroskopie beobachtet (simultane Beobachtung der Gitterabbildungen von AuAg3S2 und Ag). Die Silberkeime scheiden sich an den Silber-Gold-Sulfid-Partikeln mit paralleler Orientierung oder mit 60°-Drehung um die 〈110〉-Achse ab. Es wird gefunden, daß die Gitterfehlanpassungen zwischen dem Silber und dem Silber-Gold-Sulfid bei diesen Orientierungen so klein sind, daß das Silber leicht ausscheiden kann." @default.
