This method, which is based on the linear-combination-of-atomic-orbitals or tight-binding model, uses the Koster-Slater resolvent method for computing the energies and orbital coefficients. Since the resolvent matrix is constructed numerically, an algorithm was described to solve the Koster-Slater equations numerically as well. The present paper shows a particularly efficient manner to prepare the Koster-Slater equations for this algorithm, which is applicable to crystals with Shockley surfaces and adsorption." @default.
