Since no rupture of the uterus during pregnancy had been reported following low cervical cesarean section, and since uteri have often been sutured tightly enough to cause ischemia of the tissues at the wound, I have felt the prognosis for the next pregnancy to be favorable if section was performed without onset of actual labor.
