- W1972342501 abstract "Haemolymph protein, ammonia, urea, urate, glucose, L-lactate, osmolality, ion concentrations and acid-base balance were measured when Japanese lobster Panulirus japonicus were exposed to air at 5, 15, and 25°C for 3 h up to 48 h. All lobsters in aerial exposure at 5 and 15°C survived after 48 h, whereas 60% of the lobsters survived at 25°C after 24 h. Haemolymph haemocyanin, protein, pCO2, ammonia, urea, urate, L-lactate, osmolality, Cl-, Ca2+, and Mg2+ increased linearly with exposure time. However, haemolymph pH and glucose were inversely related to exposure time. Lobsters in aerial exposure at 5 and 15°C significantly increased their HCO3 -, whereas lobsters in aerial exposure at 25°C decreased their haemolymph HCO3 -. Lobsters in 24 h aerial exposure at 25°C increased their haemolymph ammonia, urea, and L-lactate, respectively more than 8, 3 and 572 times, whereas lobsters in 24 h aerial exposure at 5°C increased to 7, 2, and 275 times of submerged values. The ability of P. japonicus to survive longer at low temperatures (5 and 15°C) is likely due to lower accumulation of ammonia, urea, urate, and L-lactate, and buffering due to HCO3 -. Les proteines de l'hemolymphe, l'ammoniaque, l'uree, l'urate, le glucose, le L-lactate, l'osmolalite, la concentration ionique et l'equilibre acide-base ont ete mesures chez Panulirus japonicus expose a l'air a 5, 15 et 25°C pendant 3 a 48 heures. Tous les animaux exposes a 5 et 15°C ont survecu apres 48 heures, tandis que 60% ont survecu a 25°C apres 24 h. L'hemocyanine de l'hemolymphe, les proteines, le pCO2, l'ammonium, l'uree, l'urate, le L-lactate, l'osmolalite, les ions Cl-, Ca2+ et Mg2+ augmentent de facon lineaire avec le temps d'exposition. Cependant, le pH de l'hemolymphe et le glucose varient en relation inverse par rapport au temps d'exposition. Les Panulirus exposes a l'air a 5 et 15°C ont leur concentration en HCO3 -de l'hemolymphe, augmentee de facon significative tandis que cette valeur diminue chez ceux exposes a l'air a 25°C. Ceux exposes pendant 24 h a 25°C montrent une augmentation de leur concentration dans l'hemolymphe, d'ammonium, d'uree, et de L-lactate, respectivement de plus de 8, 3 et 572 fois, tandis que les Panulirus exposes 24 h a 5°C augmentent de 7, 2 et 275 fois par rapport aux valeurs mesurees chez les animaux en eau. La capacite de P.japonicus a survivre plus longtemps a de basses temperatures (5 et 15°C) est probablement due a une plus faible accumulation d'ammonium, d'uree, d'urate, et de L-lactate, et a l'effet tampon assure par HCO3 -." @default.
