- W1973247257 abstract "The phase equilibria in the ternary system U–Ag–Sn have been established in the isothermal section at 750°C, characterized essentially by the formation of a continuous solid solution U(AgxSn3−x), 0<x<1. Binary USn3 crystallizes in the cubic AuCu3 structure type and a monotonous decrease of the lattice parameter is observed with Ag substitution. Magnetic measurements on alloys U(AgxSn3−x) reveal the progressive appearance of long range magnetic order upon substitution of Sn by Ag. 119Sn Mössbauer spectroscopy measurements at 77 K show simple paramagnetic doublets, corresponding to the tetragonal symmetry of the tin atom site. Unresolved magnetic hyperfine splitting is observed at 4.2 K for the Ag-rich compositions, confirming the onset of magnetic order." @default.
