- W1973416110 abstract "In order to study the time-dependent behaviors of the working performance of biaxial reinforced composite foundation, the numerical simulation was conducted to investigate the time-dependent behaviors by four representative cases. The distributions and the dissipation of excess pore water pressures in the soft soil were examined for all the four cases. The variations of lateral displacement, total and differential settlements of the fill, as well as the neutral point position of pile wall were analyzed. The time-dependent behaviors of tension in geosynthetics, axial force in pile wall and load sharing ratio of pile-wall were also discussed. Research results show that the time-dependent behaviors of the working performance of biaxial reinforced composite foundation are significantly affected by the loading strategies and the mechanical characteristics of pile walls. Moreover, the maximum excess pore water pressure in soft soil under the instantaneous loading strategy is much higher than that under the step by step loading strategy. Under the same loading strategy, as pile-walls penetrate the soft soil layer, the maximum excess pore water pressure in soft soil is far lower than that as the pile-walls do not penetrate the soft soil layer. The research results also show that the consolidation time under the step by step loading strategy is less than that under the instantaneous loading strategy. As pile-walls penetrate the soft soil layer, the consolidation time is far less than that pile-walls do not penetrate the soft soil layer." @default.
