Except for the interval <tex xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>30< alpha <40</tex> , plexiglass spheres have larger cross sections than metal ones between <tex xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>6 < alpha < 60</tex> . This is due to the focusing action of the dielectric sphere and the back surface reflection." @default.
