Also, the composition of interfaces precipitate-matrix has been studied. The major grain boundary precipitate in Alloy 600 was M7C3 while the principal intergranular precipitate in Alloy 690 was M23C6. Four different types of precipitates were analyzed by APFIM. The observed grain boundary precipitates were of very mixed composition. Most precipitates contained Cr as a major metallic element. The obtained results are compared with results predicted by the thermodynamic models." @default.
