In the red zone and the degeneration zone where the bacterial invader becomes parasitic, the process of the phytolysosome formation through dictyosomes seems to be too slow. The endoplasmic reticulum then shunts the dictyosomes and directly buds phytolysosomes. These will intervene only by their destructive function and will provoke the death of the bacteria, and then of the cell itself, followed by shedding of the nodule." @default.
