- W1981502324 abstract "A new mercury-based superconductor, Y0.6Ca0.4Hg1−xMxCu2O6+y with M=Ca+Ca, has been isolated. It crystallizes in the space group P4/mmm with a=3.870(1) Å, c=12.537(1) Å. The EDX analysis, combined with XRD and HREM investigations, demonstrates that this cuprate belongs to the 1212 series. Its structure can be described as built up from the classical double pyramidal copper layers intergrown with oxygen-deficient rock-salt-type layers containing besides Hg other cations (Cu, Ca) in small amounts. The great similarity of this phase with 1212 lead cuprates is emphasized. Susceptibility measurements show a Tc onset of 90 K, with a diamagnetic volume fraction of 27% at 4.2 K. Different annealings under higher oxygen pressure, up to 25 bar, do not improve the critical temperature." @default.
