- W1987194906 abstract "For the path loss prediction method based on Gaussian beams (GBs) tracing, a large number of beams need to be tracked for high accuracy of prediction, which also leads to high complexity and low efficiency. A novel method to speed up beams tracing procedure is proposed in this paper. The new method divided the propagation scenario into a number of 3D mesh grids and then a dominated propagation area is selected, which contains most of the radio propagation paths. Thus, we only need to find and record the interactions between Gaussian beams and facets located in this selected area. Moreover, with the help of 3D mesh grids, the tracking procedure of each Gaussian beam can be more quickly. The simulation results show that the precision of our method is almost the same as traditional ones, while the computation time is far less than the latter, especially in urban scenarios." @default.
