The structure of 1 is a two-dimensional network, constructed from {Ag4(tpyprz)2(H2O)}4n+n chains linked through ζ-Mo8O264− clusters. The chains exhibit three distinct Ag(I) environments: a four coordinate {AgN4} site, a three coordinate {AgN2Oaqua} site, and four coordinate {AgN3Ooxo} site which links to the molybdate cluster. Each cluster is connected by bridging oxo-groups to two silver/tpyprz chains to form the network architecture.
